Event: Indigenizing Sustainability: Rethinking Nature, Gender, and the Law

 

The workshop aims to foster new academic and interpersonal ties across Asia-Pacific Indigenous Studies and identify collaboration opportunities.

Key framing issues include:

• Critical environmental issues facing Indigenous Peoples today

• Intersections with gender rights, transitional justice, democracy, and Indigenous sovereignty movements

• Building self-determination through academia and beyond.
